Diode As Rectifier (Full Wave Rectification)

Experiment to study the function of diade as full-wave rectifier.

The arrangement of four diodes in the apparatus is called a bridged rectifier. The function of bridge rectifier is to change alternating current to full wave rectified direct current. When the positive portion of the AC current passed through the junction 1, the current will flow through diode A to the resistor and back to the AC source through diode C.
