Diode As Rectifier (Half Wave Rectification)
RM 77.00
Experiment to study the function of diade as a half-wave rectifier.
The current supplied by a transformer is in a sine wave form. If a diode is connected in the circuit, half of the wave (either positive or negative) will be cut off. The resistor 3.9kW is used as a load, so that there is potential difference formed across the resistor. The wave form can be observe on the screen of the oscilloscope.
